I teach in the Writing Program of the Department of English at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. A journalist, too, for the last 20 years I wrote social/political commentary columns for The Star-Press, daily newspaper in Muncie. For several years prior, I wrote from Muncie for the Indianapolis Star. I'm also a member of Steeler Nation. Isn't this downright Dilbertish that almost one word in ten takes you away?
